By day, I’m a software developer for industrial and collaborative robots. By night, I’m a paleo and wildlife conservation artist. My artwork is driven by a desire to challenge common depictions of endangered and extinct animals by revealing their beauty and complexity. Through my work, I aim to tell stories — about extinction, the natural world, the progress of science, and even broader themes beyond animals.
I don’t confine myself to one medium or style. Whether it’s traditional painting, drawing, or mixed media, I explore different techniques to best capture the essence of the subject at hand. This versatility allows me to experiment and evolve, always considering feedback from others as part of the creative process.
I hope that through my work, viewers will see these animals not as relics of a distant past but as symbols of the beauty and fragility of life—past, present, and future.
Best,
Karim
