My artwork is about the celebration of wildlife. Every piece should show the beauty and fragility of every single animal, regardless of its domain – mammals, reptiles, insects, fish, …
Although I am drawn to extinct animals, the ones from the mesozoic in particular, extant animals are not less interesting at all. And the difference is: They are still alive. Some of them more than others. And while humankind is driving many animals towards extinction, there are some organisations trying to help these – with wildlife conservation programs. What can I do to support? I can raise awareness. Awareness for the importance of the smallest animals for our ecosystem. Awareness for the reasons why specific animals are dying out. Awareness for what we can do to help.
I am raising awareness through my artwork, which should tell stories and touch people. Make them take their time to think and talk about the paintings. And with selling my artwork – originals and prints -, I want to contribute to wildlife conservation.
